HOME Instead has been named as a finalist in Scottish Care’s Care at Home and Housing Support Awards 2022, for the ‘Care Learning Award’, recognised for the quality of their compliance and training.

The group, owned by Suhail and Tasnim Rehman, operates Home Instead offices across Glasgow North, Glasgow South, Stirling and Falkirk, Perthshire, and South Ayrshire and Kilmarnock, who centralise their training, recruitment and operations out of Glasgow.

The award recognises the tremendous work and excellence of Home Instead’s compliance and training team, providing the best quality training opportunities to their Care Professionals across Scotland. This includes specialist courses such as Parkinson’s and dementia training, as well as first aid, mental health training, hoisting and physical care, as well as their signature companionship-led care.

Suhail’s Home Instead offices are registered with the Care Inspectorate, with their Glasgow offices rated as Excellent and Very Good by the organisation. Equally, they are all rated highly on homecare.co.uk, with reviews from clients, and their family members highlighting the quality of care delivered.

Suhail commented: “We are delighted to have been nominated for this award, recognising our excellent training and compliance practices which allow us to deliver a high-quality of homecare services across Scotland. We are passionate about caring for others, and we are glad this passion has been recognised.”

“Our Training and Compliance team work hard to help our Care Professionals learn more about delivering home care in an effective and safe way. They also help broaden their knowledge of different illnesses and impairments so they can help our elderly clients who are living with these conditions, and improve their quality of life. Our Care Professionals get real job satisfaction from learning so much about ageing adults and the social care sector, and we are proud to have a team that imparts so much knowledge and inspires future generations of carers.”

The awards ceremony takes place on Friday 13th May 2022 at Radisson Blu, Glasgow and will be hosted by Pop Idol winner and presenter, Michelle McManus and Scottish Care’s CEO, Dr Donald Macaskill.
