Former PortmanDentex COO takes leadership role as Jim Hall moves to board
Clyde Munro Dental Group has appointed Louise Reeves as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 19th October. She joins Scotland’s leading dental group, which states it cares for more than half a million patients annually across sixty-five practices, from Portman Dentex.
Louise Reeves previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Portman Dentex, where she oversaw strategic and operational functions, driving business growth since 2023. She brings operational experience and dentistry practice experience to Clyde Munro, having started her career as a dental nurse before progressing through senior operational leadership roles.
Her appointment sees her succeed Clyde Munro founder and CEO Jim Hall, who will remain actively involved with the business as founder and a member of the board. Mr Hall founded Clyde Munro in 2015 with a vision to create a distinctly Scottish dental group focused on delivering high-quality care within local communities. A decade after its founding, Clyde Munro states it is Scotland’s leading dental group, operating sixty-five practices stretching from Orkney to the Scottish Borders.
The group’s teams include around three hundred dentists and five hundred support staff, providing care to more than half a million patients each year. Louise’s appointment signals the next phase for the business, with a focus on strengthening its existing network, investing in its people and practices, improving access to dental care, and continuing to develop the quality and range of services available to patients across Scotland.
Louise Reeves said: “Clyde Munro has built an incredibly strong business over the past decade, with a clear commitment to delivering high-quality dental care in communities across Scotland. I’m excited by the opportunity to build on those foundations and lead its next phase.”
She added: “What particularly drew me to Clyde Munro is how deeply its values run through the organisation. Putting patients’ wellbeing first, supporting our colleagues and playing a positive role in our communities are fundamental to the business and values I’m committed to championing.”
Jim Hall, founder of Clyde Munro, said: “When we created Clyde Munro in 2015, our ambition was to build a dental group that was proudly Scottish and could make a meaningful difference to dental care in communities across the country.”
