Livingston-based company recognised for international trade achievements and significant growth.

Clarus Networks officially received its King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade on 5 October at the company’s Livingston headquarters. His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Lothian, Moira Niven MBE, formally presented the honour to the team. Clarus was one of 185 UK organisations to receive a King’s Award for Enterprise in 2026, which celebrates exceptional international growth.

The presentation marked a major milestone for Clarus, recognising more than a decade of growth that has seen the Scottish business transform from a start-up founded in 2014 into an international connectivity company. The company now serves customers across the UK, Europe, the Americas, and beyond, taking UK connectivity expertise into global markets.
Speaking during her visit, Lord-Lieutenant Moira Niven MBE noted Clarus Networks as “an outstanding local organisation that has achieved international success.” She added that “The King’s Award for Enterprise is for businesses at the very top of their game. It is not an easy thing to achieve, and Clarus has grown its sales by more than 900% over the last three years. By anybody’s reckoning, that is an outstanding achievement.”
Derek Phillips, Managing Director of Clarus Networks, expressed his pride, stating: “Receiving the King’s Award from the Lord-Lieutenant is a proud moment for everyone at Clarus. It gives us a chance to reflect on how far the business has come and, importantly, to recognise the people across the company who have helped make that growth possible.”
He added: “International expansion has become a major part of our story, but the way we approach the business has stayed the same. We focus on solving real connectivity challenges, supporting our customers properly and using new technologies in ways that genuinely improve how organisations operate.”
Clarus supports customers in various sectors, including maritime, transport, construction, utilities, broadcast media, and emergency services. The company’s international growth has been closely linked to the rapid adoption of low Earth orbit satellite communications, operating as a global Starlink reseller from day one and now also an Amazon Leo reseller.
Clarus continues to expand its international presence, including strengthening its team in the United States.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise are among the UK’s most prestigious business accolades. Successful organisations are entitled to use the King’s Awards Emblem for five years, providing a recognised mark of achievement.
