AON plc (NYSE: AON) a leading global professional services firm, is welcoming new talent to its office in Glasgow with the arrival of nine recent graduates and one placement year student, who will commence their careers with the company.

Working across a wide range of functional areas including investment, actuarial consulting, wealth data analytics, commercial risk and reinsurance broking, the new joiners represent Aon’s commitment to inspiring and developing the next generation of inclusive leaders. The firm’s Early Careers Programmes provide meaningful work experience opportunities and the chance to enhance professional skills through on-the-job experience.

Industrial placement year students, who are in their third year of a university course, gain invaluable real-world experience at Aon before they return to complete their studies. Aon’s graduate programme, known as ‘Launch’, is designed to develop high performers so they can grow professionally, while transitioning smoothly into a full-time role. In addition, Aon offers an holistic 18-month to two-year apprentice programme which combines education and work experience in parallel, on a pathway to securing a Foundation Degree.

David Edwards, senior data solutions consultant at Aon said:

“Aon highly values young talent. Its various pathways – placement, apprentice, graduate – provides them with invaluable experience and the opportunity to develop new skills. Experienced colleagues also benefit from the Early Careers programme since it offers them training and development opportunities to support the students.

“Our new cohort has brought enthusiasm and energy, and I want to welcome them all and wish them the very best of luck in their careers”

Pamela Mpulubusi is one of those who has recently joined Aon in Glasgow. She said:

“Joining Aon is a significant milestone for me that has opened up a world of possibilities. It has introduced me to a completely new environment filled with opportunities, continuous learning and growth. I also enjoy being part of a large and diverse network of people that consistently push you to be your best. I look forward to continuing to discover more about Aon as a company, the industry, and further developing my career.”
