A FAMILY dentist from Edinburgh has been presented with a national award in recognition of his dedication to patients – at the practice where he himself has been a patient since he was a child.

Dr James Campbell, of Gilmore Dental Practice in the Tollcross area, was nominated for a Chrysalis Finance Patient Care Award by colleague Laura Wood.

“James is consistently putting patients first.“ she said. “He will start earlier and finish later to accommodate patients; nothing is ever a problem for him.

“He supports the nursing team as well as providing emergency care for other surrounding practices too. James himself has been a patient at the practice from a little kid and has now become a dentist which I think is amazing.”

The Chrysalis Finance Patient Care Awards are made annually, with nominations invited from across the UK. They seek to recognise those team members who make a positive and long-lasting difference in setting and achieving high standards of patient satisfaction.

Chrysalis Finance CEO William Harris said: “We provide finance for patients who choose to go private – it’s important that both they and we have trust in the clinics with whom we work and who also placed the patient first. These awards recognise people like James who are dedicated to ensuring the patient has the best experience.”

Part of the Clyde Munro Dental Group, Gilmore Dental Practice is a long-established practice offering dental care for adults and NHS child patients. The team provides general and cosmetic dentistry including teeth straightening, hygiene services, dental implants, composite bonding, teeth whitening and facial aesthetics.

Chrysalis Finance is the UK’s largest patient payment solutions company, working with 3,000 Chrysalis-accredited dental clinics and private medical treatment providers who prioritise high standards in patient care. Chrysalis helps patients ethically to afford treatment through interest-free and interest-bearing payment options.
