From struggling local charity to national organisation leading in its field, The Yard is a success story thanks in large part to its chief executive Celine Sinclair.
When she stepped up to the role 12 years ago she saw the potential of an adventure play centre for children with disabilities and their families. Now serving over 1000 families, from an original 50,The Yard has expanded from its Edinburgh base into Dundee and Kirkcaldy. Glasgow is the next destination for this unique charity which featured in the DIY SOS Big Build for Children in Need.
I caught up with Celine to discuss the strategy behind the charity’s tremendous growth.
