Stirling physio practice joins Atlas Health Group as it expands into Scotland

A STIRLING physiotherapy clinic has become the latest practice to join Atlas Health Group.

Physiofocus, in Bridge of Allan, has become the fifth practice to become part of the company, which has a collection of physiotherapy and osteopathic practices across the UK.

For patients, it will be business as usual, with Physiofocus retaining its dedicated team of six physiotherapists and two receptionists who have been providing a personal, prompt and reliable physiotherapy service since 1999.

But for the practice itself, being part of Atlas Health Group will provide the opportunity to access further training and education, and career opportunities within the group that would not be available in a smaller practice.

Practitioners are also freed up to focus on their clinical role rather than dealing with spreadsheets and details of the day-to-day running of the practice.

Practice manager Alison Davidson said: “We’re delighted to have joined Atlas Health Group. It will be business as usual for our customers – we’re committed to providing a personal service to our patients and we’ll continue to go above and beyond for them.

“By being part of Atlas Health Group, it will mean more access to different suppliers and more opportunities for our team for career progression.”

The clinic was established by Seonaid Airth, who returned home to Bridge of Allan after five years travelling and identified a need for a private physio clinic in the area.

Established in January 2021, Atlas Health Group has practices throughout the country including Baldock, Hertfordshire; Cranleigh, Surrey; Ampthill and Flitwick in Bedfordshire; Colmworth, Bedfordshire; Stirling in Scotland, with four more purchases agreed subject to contract.

Practices want to work with Atlas Health Group because of the friendly, family touch it offers.

When clinics come under the Atlas Health Group umbrella, they keep their own name and management style. This sits well with business owners who have grown the business from the ground up and are now well-established and have a good client list.

Chief Executive John Corney, an entrepreneur with a wealth of experience in nurturing and growing businesses, said: “Atlas Health Group focuses on protecting what our clinics have already built – and then adding value by putting in more senior support and extending the reach of the businesses.

“We’re delighted to welcome Physiofocus on board and to work with such a fantastic team to keep delivering excellent service to the people of Stirling and beyond.”
