Soben expands senior team with two new appointments

James Tucker joins as EMEA Infrastructure Consultancy Director

SCOTTISH-headquartered quantity surveying and commercial management consultancy, Soben, has expanded its EMEA senior team with two new appointments as part of extensive plans for growth.

Derek McFarlane joins as EMEA Director of Consultancy – Building & Places, and James Tucker joins as EMEA Infrastructure Consultancy Director.

McFarlane joins from Multiplex Construction where he held the position of Commercial Director.  Tucker joins from Currie & Brown where he was Director, Infrastructure Division.

Soben is targeting growth to 250 staff in EMEA and 500 staff globally by the end of 2023. The business currently employs 150 staff. This growth will build on the business’ expertise in the renewable energy, infrastructure, data, and life sciences sectors.

James Tucker said, “Soben’s record so far speaks for itself. I’m very excited to become part of the senior team defining the future.”
