Senior care figure joins USAVE Energy Consultants

John Kirk joins USAVE Energy Consultants as an Ambassador

John Kirk has joined USAVE Energy Consultants as an Ambassador advising the Cumbernauld based business on its ambitious growth plans.

A leading industry figure in the health and social care sector, John has led several of the country’s largest care providers including, most recently, Balhousie Care Group, Scotland’s largest private care group.  He also spent thirteen years with Scottish Care, the voice of the independent care sector in Scotland where he served as an Executive Director and Vice Chair.

John currently manages a non-executive portfolio and in this new role, he will oversee USAVE’s move to support care providers to manage and reduce their energy costs.

Anthony Hale, Chief Executive, USAVE Energy Consultants said, “Energy will continue to be a key point on every business agenda for the foreseeable future and particularly in the care sector where costs can be extremely high.

“We are fortunate to have a robust buying network and are able to tailor advice to businesses to ensure they are not only on the correct tariffs but also the correct contract for them.

“John has an unprecedented expertise in social care management and business leadership and we are delighted that he has joined the team to support our ambitions.”

John said “Having recently had the daunting experience of trying to renegotiate our energy contracts, the service provided by USAVE was priceless. The time taken to educate me and my team on what can be a very complex decision with huge cost implications if you get it wrong, was extremely reassuring and led to substantial financial savings when the time was finally right to move to our new contract. When the opportunity came to join Anthony and his team and support fellow care providers facing similar challenges it was a very easy decision and I look forward to working with them all.”

USAVE Utility Contracts monitor live daily market rates and provide energy advice and audits on gas, electricity and water costs, to UK businesses, as well as advise on green energy strategies and multi-site meter installations.  Clients include Hamilton Racecourse, Indigo Sun, FES, and the Park Property Group.  Further information is available from
