SCOTTISH business The Power Within Training and Development has been named as a finalist in the UK-wide 2022 Family Business of the Year Awards.
The Glasgow-based company – founded by couple James and Enas Fleming – has experienced significant growth in the past two years and is now shortlisted as a Scottish regional finalist for the national awards to be held in June.
The Family Business Of The Year Awards – run by Family Business United – has been running for over a decade and recognises businesses that make a difference each and every day, through the provision of jobs, generation of income, creation of wealth and their role in communities up and down the country as a real force for good.
The Power Within Training & Development was founded by married couple James and Enas in 2017 after they returned home from years of working abroad in corporate oil and gas careers.
The company helps people and businesses excel by improving their motivation, self-belief, decision making and leadership skills through a ground-breaking approach called Motivational Intelligence (MQ).
In the last two years – during the Covid-19 pandemic – they have launched two new ground-breaking products.
The business is the only recognised consultant outside of North America with the ability to deliver registered training in Motivational Intelligence and last year James, Enas and their team introduced the world’s first SQA approved Executive Diploma in Leading with Motivational Intelligence.
The Power Within is now also collaborating with a number of colleges across Scotland, offering its unique Motivational Intelligence framework to individuals and small businesses within those communities.
In 2020, the business also launched its brand new Business Growth Academy, helping business owners across Scotland achieve greater business success by teaching key business skills and mindset shifts, with funding available for many businesses, particularly within the construction sector.
Last year, the business launched a new Aberdeen-based venture – The Power Within Training UK Ltd – providing business leaders, and emerging leaders within the oil & gas and energy sectors, with extensive training in Motivational Intelligence to specifically help them navigate the global energy transition.
