COMMERCIAL law firm Davidson Chalmers Stewart has announced the appointment of specialist real estate lawyer Andy Tyler, who has been recruited as its newest partner.
Andy joins from Burness Paull where he spent four and a half years supporting commercial and residential real estate clients on a broad spectrum of transactions including development and property finance deals with a strong focus on the student accommodation sector.
Prior to that, Andy spent four years at The Commercial Law Practice in Aberdeen, a firm he joined after qualifying. He then moved to Edinburgh to take on an associate role within the real estate team at Brodies.

He is a talented and highly regarded real estate lawyer who has developed a great reputation amongst clients and across the Scottish legal profession. His commercial and residential real estate market experience, including his specialist knowledge of the student accommodation sector, will bring further pedigree to our excellent team.
Andy Tyler said: “As a firm which established itself through its real estate practice, I’m very excited to be joining Davidson Chalmers Stewart where I’ll be working alongside a highly respected team.
“I’m delighted to be part of a firm that is on the up, expanding its team and developing its client base across Scotland. I look forward to working with my new colleagues in this role to help contribute to further ongoing growth.”
