Aberdeen based LMS, specialists in load monitoring equipment has entered its third year in business and forecasts continued growth ahead.

The company was established in June 2016 and has continued to expand with turnover increasing over 180% year on year.

Headed by Managing Director, Kirk Anderson and Sales Director, Millar Kennedy, the company made a significant six figure investment in rental assets and the relocation to larger premises in September 2018 to accommodate increased operations and a growing team of ten  employees.

With 55% of its turnover from international trade, LMS supports lifting operations across a variety of sectors around the world in over 45 countries with a distributor network across all continents.

Recently achieving DNV-GL triple standard ISO accreditation for 9001:2015 Quality Management, 14001 Environmental and 18001 Occupational Health & Safety, the firm continues to see organic growth through sector and geographical diversification.

Decommissioning is a significant focus as part of this diversification. As Decom North Sea (DNS) members and Kirk Anderson recently being elected on the DNS Leadership Group, LMS is fully committed and equipped to support cable recovery, subsea structure removals and deconstruction along with ancillary equipment and personal for onshore or offshore operations for the decommissioning sector.

With a turnover now surpassing £1m in 2018, Kirk Anderson commented: “Having established our business in the face of market uncertainty in 2016, we are extremely proud where we have come so far, achieving significant growth milestones, whilst also successfully completing accreditation and certification goals.  We are an ambitious team and delighted to be winning significant contracts which are great for Aberdeen and the North East as a whole. We expect to accelerate our performance even further into 2019 and beyond, with further investments as we expand our rental fleet and capabilities as well as introducing more distributors and target new territories.  Everyone has worked hard, and the growth of our workforce is a clear demonstration of our success. Our expert team combined with exceptional products allows us to stay competitive in challenging markets.”

LMS will be exhibiting on the Scottish Development International Pavilion at Offshore Europe in September.  Also, that week, the company is shortlisted for the ‘Small Company of the Year’ at The Press and Journal’s 2019 Gold Awards.  The team is absolutely thrilled to be finalists.

Managing Director Kirk Anderson commented: “This recognition really highlights just how far we have come.  The triumph demonstrates how tenacity, bravery and sheer hard work has seen the LMS highly skilled team deliver significant positive business results.  I would like to thank the staff for their dedication and commitment because without them, none of what we do would be possible.”

With continued positive momentum and a robust growth strategy for the next three years, LMS plan to further diversify as well as evolve their in-house design capabilities through a strong focus on research and development which will deliver continuous product improvements, the benefits and efficiencies can then be passed onto our customers.
