INSTITUTE of Directors Scotland (IoD Scotland) has partnered with Rathbones Group Plc (Rathbones) in a five-figure deal to deliver a roadshow of in-person events across the country.

The “It’s a governance thing…” events will be focussed on topical boardroom issues, and will be delivered throughout 2022 across Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Dundee, Glasgow and Inverness. The first event will kick off in Edinburgh in March.

The eight sessions will cover wellbeing, ESG, reputation management, brave leadership, organisational growth, fintech ecosystems, human rights, and boardrooms of the future.

Louise Macdonald, national director of IoD Scotland said “Delivering professional development opportunities to cross-sector leaders is IoD Scotland’s key strength – and being able to meet in person to discuss the learnings from the last two years and how to move forward is fantastic.

“Rathbones is a perfect partner to deliver these insightful sessions with, due to their experience in supporting good governance as an executive organisation. We look forward to seeing our members across Scotland very soon!”

Joanna Cameron, Client Development Director, Rathbones said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with IoD Scotland to deliver a series of live events throughout 2022 across the length and breadth of Scotland.

“The overarching theme of governance will be a common thread throughout the series. We will be hearing from a variety of speakers, as well as the IoD’s members themselves about how they have adapted their decision-making frameworks and business policies to thrive in our new ‘post – COVID’ business landscape. We look forward to sharing ideas at these sessions and most importantly seeing everyone in person again. It’s been too long”
