Hospitality stalwart named as new Chief Executive at world’s first inland surf resort

ANDY Roger, one of the UK’s foremost leaders in the UK hospitality industry, has been appointed as Chief Executive of Lost Shore Surf Resort.

Lost Shore Surf Resort will be the world’s first inland surf resort when it opens in September. With Europe’s largest wave pool, luxury lodges, premium accommodation pods, spa treatment studio, food market and shopping, it will be Scotland’s newest premier tourism and leisure destination.

The new Chief Executive has extensive experience in launching and operating flagship resorts and hotels, having previously ran One Devonshire Gardens in Glasgow, various Malmaison hotels, and Hotel du Vin in Royal Tunbridge Wells. Most recently, he was Resort Director at the luxurious Cameron House on Loch Lomond.

In addition, he is Chair of Hospitality Industry Trust Futures Group and is on the board of Apprenticeship in Hospitality Scotland. He previously chaired the tourism co-operative, Love Loch Lomond, which aims to encourage more visitors to the national park.
