Following a series of acquisitions, Edwin James Group has harnessed the synergies of its constituent businesses to offer a complete range of technical and process engineering services, covering the full lifecycle of assets. The firm has streamlined multiple, successful brands to transform strong regional businesses into a leading, national operator which is well positioned for long-term growth.

The engineering group boasts a UK-wide workforce of almost 1,000 employees, including 138 apprentices across 13 offices. The group, which launches its new website and brand identity today (Monday 2 July), is set to report a revenue of circa £140m when it publishes its first financial results.

Headquartered in Glasgow and Burton, the group was established by investment firm Aliter Capital in 2017 and initially acquired Ingen Technical Services then Korrie. This was followed by the acquisition of WT Parker Group, in April 2017 and then PEME, also in 2017.

To support its growth strategy the group has rationalised its five key businesses into two distinct service offerings: technical services and process services.

Parker Technical Services, comprising of Parker and Korrie, in the north of Scotland, will focus on services related to engineering, facility maintenance, energy and environment. Ingen’s operations will become part of the Parker brand.

Musk Process Services will encompass the design, installation and maintenance of technical assets and systems for manufacturing environments. The asset care and reliability business previously known as PEME now sits as part of Musk.

Edwin James Group Chief Executive Officer, Derek Smith, said:

“Over the last three years, Edwin James Group brought together a selection of businesses which offer complementary technical and facilities services throughout the UK. We are on track to achieve £140m turnover in our first full financial results, and we look forward to continuing our impressive growth.

“Our new simplified structure will encourage collaboration across the business and allow us to explore how we can leverage cross-selling opportunities across our customer base to increase our market share. This will help us achieve our strategic objectives, which includes the ongoing development of our people, expanding our geographic reach and increasing our work within critical engineering environments.”

Edwin James Group has a presence throughout the UK, with offices in Inverness, Thurso, Elgin, Fort William, Glasgow, Burton, Cambridge, Grantham, Louth, Shrewsbury, Slough, Swadlincote and Peterborough.
