Team Challenge Company builds on most successful year yet

30/10/2017

Corporate event and team building businesse, Team Challenge Company, is to move into new headquarters more than three times bigger than their current premises, following the most significant year in the company’s history.

The new facility in Lochgelly, Fife occupies a massive 16,300 square feet, the equivalent of six tennis courts and has been facilitated by an increase in profits, expected to be around 25% this financial year.

This significant period of growth follows a major milestone for Team Challenge Company, which was named a global partner of international team building organisation Catalyst Global. The deal was the biggest of its kind for the business and gives it the exclusive rights to sell and distribute all 174 award-winning Catalyst Global products in Scotland, as well as rights to the English market.

In particular, Team Challenge Company has been able to step up its use of gamification, with challenges such as ‘Peak Performance’ an interactive tablet-based game which requires teams to guide each other up Mount Everest, becoming increasingly popular.

In addition to having access to the most innovative team building products, the partnership has allowed Team Challenge Company to attract fresh new business. Recent new clients include King Digital, a multi-national interactive entertainment company responsible for designing the popular game Candy Crush, sustainable technology developers Johnson Matthey and accounting firm RSM.

Since signing the deal with Cataylst Global, Team Challenge Company has seen 15% increase in enquiries, with 8% coming from overseas businesses. The team building firm will now focus on building upon this success and is forecasting to deliver more than 450 corporate events in 2018 alone.

The move to larger premises comes at the same time as Team Challenge Company is continuing to push forward with an expansion strategy that will include targeting the pharmaceutical and technological sectors. It already has a strong presence within the financial, retail, oil and gas sectors, and works with major international businesses such BP, KPMG and Standard Life Investments. The business will also continue expanding throughout the UK, and has built up a strong profile in London, the M25 corridor and Manchester.

Gerard Crowley, co-director at Team Challenge Company, said; “It is very exciting to witness the progress of the business and to recognise the opportunities that lie ahead. Over the next year, our goal is to increase the size of events that we deliver whilst still maintaining the very personal service that we offer to our clients.

“The new premises are fantastic, and will allow us to work more efficiently as the team will have more space to plan and develop events. They will also allow us to purchase and store larger equipment for events such as climbing walls, segways and bungee trampolines as well as increasing our stock of Catalyst Global team building equipment. It has been a very successful year for the business and I am confident we will be able to build upon these achievements in the coming months.”
