IN 2022 Scullion LAW confirmed its three new female directors: Gemma Brown, Diana McLeish and now Shanna McDiarmid resulting in a first for Scullion LAW history as having over half the board being made up of talented females.
Shanna McDiarmid has been appointed as Director of Operations and Performance starting from 1st of January 2023.
The new appointment will see the multi-award-winning team continue their efforts to make a difference and improve lives across Scotland with Shanna McDiarmid responsible for supporting, coaching, and holding the team to account as they deliver their mission.
Playing a key role in meeting the legal firm’s growth goals on becoming number 1 for their top legal service areas in the Scottish Legal market by Dec 2025, Shanna’s previous 17 years at Scullion LAW is set to drive success for the firm alongside the team.
Managing Director Nicholas Scullion said: “We are incredibly lucky to have such passionate and loyal supporters of our people and values. When I started with Nicholas J Scullion & Co as we were, over 17 years ago, my goal was to build an awesome team of people whose skills were strong in areas where I was weak.
My first hire was Shanna McDiarmid and I know that without her constant help, support, and kindness I would not have been able to achieve my goals. It has been an honour to coach her and watch her develop skills and confidence over the years and she has been invaluable. We are incredibly proud of Shanna and her achievements, and we all look forward to a great year ahead”.
From humble beginnings as office junior Shanna learnt and adapted the company’s IT before becoming PA to Managing Director Nicholas Scullion, providing a greater understanding of the company’s needs and areas for improvement.
Over the years Shanna has gained the relevant knowledge, confidence, and experience to become Scullion LAW’s Practice Manager. Her dedication and determination were recognised again by being promoted to Executive Director in 2015.
