Jump In invests £1m in new trampoline park creating 65 jobs

Jump In, the UK’s fastest growing trampoline park operator has invested £1m in a new high-spec arena on the outskirts of Edinburgh, creating 65 new full and part time jobs.
Located in Newhailes Industrial Estate in Musselburgh, the new site which is scheduled to open at the end of December, follows on from the summer launch of its first Scottish site in Aberdeen, taking the number of parks in the UK from one to nine in the last two years.
The company was founded by three parents, including Vernon and Linsey West who first experience what is now the fastest growing sport in the UK, whilst on holiday in the States in 2015.
Vernon researched the concept on his return and found that jumping not only helps to improve core strength and cardiovascular fitness but also cognitive development in children, which led him to bring in CEO Gavin Lucas to establish the business and embark on a rapid expansion plan.
The arena in Musselburgh boasts over 100 interconnected trampolines, battle beam, tumble track, dodgeball court, giant air bag, foam pit, drop slides and an interactive wall game and a café.
Gavin Lucas said: “We are in the process of a rapid expansion programme across the UK and absolutely delighted to be able to open our second site in Scotland at the end of the month, just outside the city centre and create so many new jobs.
“Our trampoline parks have completely transformed the way children play, socialise and keep fit all year round, which is why we planning to open even more sites in the New Year and give more children, and adults, the opportunity to enjoy the fun of
bouncing, skyrocketing, slam dunking and rolling in a safe and secure environment.”
