The pair were presented with their awards at a high-profile ceremony held at Edinburgh International Conference Centre last night (Thursday 8 June).
Leading rapid global expansion
Winning the International Business category, judges applauded Fiona Logan’s talent for leading the Dundee-based organisation through an ambitious growth strategy, whilst placing the Insights community at the heart of decisions.
Fiona said: “It is wonderful to be recognised for this award, however, the success of our strategic global growth plans couldn’t have been achieved without the brilliance of our entire community. Growth has come from the passion and commitment of the team at Insights and our amazing Insights practitioners and thanks to them all, our market position is stronger than ever.”
“Together, we’ve navigated the company through a period of rapid profitable growth whilst setting in motion a strategic business transformation for the future. Pivotal to all of this is our purpose, which has guided our organisation through the last few turbulent years and enabled growth rooted in our inspiring mission to make a positive impact in the world.”
Winning the Large Business category, judges applauded Jackie Kipps’ expertise for communicating and delivering Insights’ ambitious roadmap and propelling the business to £90M turnover by investing in innovation and the Insights community.
Jackie said: “To win the Large Business category is a credit to the hard work of all teams that have driven the organisation to sustainable growth at pace over the last few years. It’s fantastic to be recognised for all the efforts that have led us here.
“As we’ve galvanised a journey of rapid business transformation, we have invested heavily in innovation, products and processes to deliver for our customers. Our internal systems investments are now better supporting our people, so they can better serve our practitioners and customers. We have had a record-breaking year and ultimately through this growth we hope we can better help people understand themselves and others, work effectively in teams, and then use that knowledge to unlock business challenges.”
The IoD Scotland Director of the Year awards aim to recognise and celebrate leadership talent, success and achievement across all industry sectors: public, private and voluntary, within Scotland.
