The brand’s Senior Marketing Executive, Karina Miller (24), has been honoured with the Rising Star 30 Under 30 award, while the Laura Bond Jewellery boutique has been named a finalist for the Store Design of the Year category.

Since launching online in 2020, Laura Bond Jewellery has quickly become a prominent figure in the UK’s premium piercing scene, garnering attention from celebrities such as Florence Pugh and Michelle Visage. Now, the brand’s excellence and innovation have been recognized at the prestigious UK Jewellery Awards.

Laura Bond’s Senior Marketing Executive, Karina Miller (24), work has recently been recognized, having been shortlisted for the Rising Star 30 Under 30 award. The award, which aims to highlight the career paths of young professionals in the watch and jewellery industry, celebrates individuals (across a variety of industry sectors) who have made significant contributions to the success of their respective organizations.

Working up from an E-Commerce Assistant role (whereby she processed orders and responded to customer enquiries), Karina’s can-do attitude and exceptional work ethic have led to her progression and brought about in her promotions within the team. In her time helping to manage Laura Bond’s social media, Karina’s efforts have resulted in the growth of their Instagram following from 90,000 to over 140,000, and due to her multichannel marketing efforts in 2023, has been instrumental in the 67% rise in sales experienced by the independent business.

Karina Miller, Senior Marketing Executive at Laura Bond Jewellery, said: “I am incredibly honoured to receive the Rising Star 30 Under 30 award. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Laura Bond team. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the brand’s success and excited about the future of our journey in the luxury jewellery industry.”

Laura Bond, Founder and Creative Director of Laura Bond Jewellery, said: This nomination is a testament to Karina’s dedication, creativity and growth, along with earmarking her as an emerging talent within the watch and jewellery industry. Karina’s journey from an E-Commerce Assistant to a key figure in the marketing team has been remarkable, and her efforts in expanding the brand’s social media presence and implementing effective marketing strategies have significantly contributed to the success our brand has seen since launching. This award is so well deserved, and we can’t wait to see what Karina gets up to next!”.

In addition to Karina’s success, Laura Bond Jewellery’s physical store has been named a finalist for the Store Design of the Year award. Laura Bond is the only store in Edinburgh, or the whole of Scotland, to be nominated – up against the likes of industry giants Pandora – and is the only piercing parlour shortlisted, setting the store apart from the other nominees. This nomination serves as another acclaim to the shop’s individual and aesthetic style, and commitment to growth within the luxury jewellery sector for years to come.

Laura Bond concluded: “We are thrilled to be named a finalist for Store Design of the Year. It is a testament to our commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our customers and creating a space that reflects the essence of Laura Bond Jewellery. We are proud to represent Edinburgh and Scotland on this prestigious platform,”

The awards, now in their 32nd year, will take place on 26 June at the Old Billingsgate in London.
