Coulters strengthens team with two senior appointments

Jill Andrew, Partner, and Louisa Raistrick, Head of Estate Agency, at Coulters

COULTERS, one of Edinburgh and East Lothian’s leading estate agents, has announced two new hires within its senior team as it approaches an ambitious year in its growth plan. Jill Andrew joined the team as Partner in August 2022, while Louisa Raistrick has taken on the role of Head of Estate Agency.

In welcoming Raistrick and Andrew on board Coulters Chairman Mike Fitzgerald says talent is the fuel for the company’s ambitious growth:

“Louisa and Jill are both well known and incredibly well respected in the Edinburgh property market and it’s a huge boon that they have chosen to join the Coulters team. Both are seasoned, highly qualified professionals with enviable experience in areas where we are already strongly positioned, and their appointments further cement our positioning as one of the leading residential property experts in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

“After some market disruption at the end of 2022, we strongly believe that the need for independent, professional and experienced advice is more important than ever as both clients and businesses get to grips with the current and developing economic context.”

Andrew brings a wealth of experience in the Edinburgh property market to Coulters, having previously held director roles at both Burness Paull and Simpson & Marwick. Her role at Coulters sees her as an experienced Partner in the property team, managing sales and purchases as well as acting on behalf of small developers looking to market their new build houses.

An active member of the Scottish legal community, Andrew is Chair of the Edinburgh Conveyancers Forum as well as a member of the Scottish Conveyancing Forum and a postgraduate tutor at the Edinburgh School of Law.

As Head of Estate Agency, Raistrick manages Coulter’s team of 16-strong estate agents. An experienced chartered surveyor, she joins from a 14-year stint at Simpson & Marwick where she was most recently Director of Property Sales. Prior to that she worked in land and development with CBRE and Rettie.

Having worked closely with legal teams to develop efficient systems in her previous roles, Raistrick will also look after IT systems at Coulters, implementing new technologies to improve the experience for both clients and the internal team.

Raistrick said:

“As well as overseeing the estate agency team, one of my key focuses at Coulters is to enhance our already stellar customer experience, making the most of new technology to enhance and improve our client journey. Together with the rest of the team here, I’m looking forward to making a positive impact for clients across Edinburgh and the Lothians.”

Andrew said:

“The opportunity to join Coulters was a compelling one and it’s been a pleasure working with the team since joining in August last year. It’s an exciting time for the residential property market in Edinburgh and I’m happy to be here to guide and advise our clients on how to make the most of it.”
