AS its growing portfolio of destination restaurants and pubs continue to expand, Buzzworks Holdings has been recently named in The Best Companies to Work For in the UK.

Recognised as one of Scotland’s fastest-growing hospitality groups, Buzzworks has become renowned for its industry-leading staff benefits, including competitive rates of pay, ongoing training and development, career progression, flexible working, and health and wellbeing incentives.

The accolade – awarded for Q3 of 2022 – recognises the business as not only one of the best places to work within the Scottish hospitality industry, but one of the best companies to work for in the UK across all sectors. A larger scale, end-of-year award list is also set to be released in October once a Q4 list has been completed.

This year’s ranking has also earned Buzzworks the “Outstanding levels of Engagement” accreditation, much to the delight of its MD, Kenny Blair.

Kenny said: “We work with some of the most talented people in the industry and are proud to be investing in learning and development to support the growth of our talented teams.

“It’s a significant achievement to be scored so highly and to land a place on the 100 Best Companies list for six years. The teamwork and the family atmosphere undoubtedly play a major part in this fantastic result.

“This award is a testament to the people that work for Buzzworks and as we continue to expand our teams, we will continue to take great pride in making our business an even better place to work.”

To win a place on the 100 Best Companies list, businesses must achieve one of the 100 highest Best Companies Index scores, based on results of an anonymous survey completed by their team members.

As well as being ranked number 11 in Best Companies to Work For in Scotland (across all sectors), Buzzworks also came in 48th in the Best Large Company UK list, and ninth in the UK Leisure and Hospitality sector list.

Good leadership, organisational structure and pride in working for the company were all highlighted as top-scoring factors for Buzzworks. Employees admitted they had great confidence in the leadership of the senior management team, and staff members felt proud to work for their organisation.

Teams were also encouraged by the Buzzworks Employee Promise which encompasses all the perks available to support them, including a Rewards & Benefits platform that allows staff and their families major discounts within Buzzworks venues as well as discounts on products and services from other brands and companies.

The Employee Promise also offers discounts on gym memberships, extra holidays for long service, reduced contracted hours, wellbeing days, flexible working, buddy days, no uniform charges and access to an Employee Assistance Program.

Buzzworks is currently recruiting for all levels of chef, Front of House and management staff across all venues.
