Allied Surveyors Scotland is delighted to confirm the appointment of Iain Mercer as its head of commercial agency – Scotland.
He joined the business in 2018 as director of commercial agency (east) with the remit of opening the firm’s first east coast commercial agency in Edinburgh.
The department has shown a trajectory of year-on-year growth and in 2023 Allied acquired the Leith-based property business Edinburgh Commercial Property adding to its client roster, staff numbers and range of services.
With the growth of the firm’s agency, valuation and building surveying work in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness, Mr Mercer is now tasked with spearheading their commercial activities across its network of offices.

Iain Mercer said: “For some time now, I have been coordinating and aligning the strategy of our commercial departments looking at everything from service package to branding and marketing.”
