A Scottish paint supplier is gearing up to open new premises in Glenrothes as it looks to expand its ever-growing customer base.

The Paint Shed, which sells high quality paint to both homeowners and tradespeople, already has a portfolio of stores Scotland-wide including three in Edinburgh, and a further seven in Dumbarton, Dunfermline, Paisley, Glasgow, Helensburgh, and Greenock.

It is now is preparing to welcome its first customers in Glenrothes when it opens in the Fife town on Monday, March 12.

The Paint Shed’s roots began in Glenrothes over 30 years ago, and managing director, Michael Rolland, said he was delighted to be able to once again serve the local community.

He added: “It is fantastic that we are able to get back to our roots and serve local people, on both the trade and consumer side, and we are excited to have a base once again in Glenrothes.

“My grandfather and his brother began a decorating supply business in the area in the 1960s called Strathearn paint company. They employed around 30 local decorators and, as a result, they bought a lot of paint.

“From their experience as tradesmen and speaking to their customers, they discovered that there was no truly trusted or supportive place to purchase quality paint, and this led to them opening their own store.”

This new store opening will mark its 11th store in Scotland, all of which have a team of experts on-hand with specialist paint knowledge.

Michael said: “We are committed to delivering excellent customer service across all aspects of the business.

“We offer a price promise and free delivery to all our customers; ensuring they get the best quality paint at competitive prices, in a way that is enjoyable and hassle-free.”
