Two new appointments join 75Media in Scotland, as company acquires iQ OOH

OUT-OF-home specialist 75Media has appointed two new members to its team in Scotland, as the company continues to grow at rapid pace.

75Media has acquired iQ OOH for an undisclosed sum, and will incorporate iQ’s 81 digital panels into its own portfolio. This includes nine in Scotland, located in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Paisley. iQ specialises in digital billboards, and the deal will see 75Media almost double its current offering of digital large format roadside locations. The company will now operate over 200 digital billboards in a range of large and ultra large formats across the UK, moving the business towards its vision of becoming the number one roadside OOH network.

To help manage growing demand, two new appointments have been made to 75Media in Scotland. Ian Moore joins as business development manager. With over 15 years of experience in OOH, Ian has worked with some of the industry’s biggest names, including Primesight and Global.

After a successful career in print and digital advertising and commercialisation, Lisa Connor has joined the world of OOH, taking on the role of business development executive. She has a wealth of experience helping SMEs to reach their target audiences, which will be invaluable to the 75Media team.

Alongside a growing portfolio of 300 large format classic paper billboards, 75Media now has over 500 sites spanning the UK, from Aberdeen in the North to Bournemouth in the South, making it the fastest-growing roadside network in the UK. Its Scottish portfolio includes the iconic locations of the M8 Tower at Glasgow Airport, and the high impact Edinburgh Airport Tower screen. The company has also just launched another attention grabbing digital board as part of its more premium RISE offering. Situated at Milton Link on the A1, in Edinburgh, it sees more than 700,000 vehicles passing every fortnight.

As well as pursuing an ambitious organic growth strategy with infrastructure partner Wildstone as part of a 10-year partnership agreement, 75Media has confirmed it is also currently looking for further acquisition opportunities in the industry.

Mark Russell, 75Media’s business director for Scotland, said: “The iQ acquisition helps to strengthen our position in Scotland with even more impactful digital sites across Central Scotland, including Glasgow, Edinburgh and Paisley. The deal has also allowed us to grow our footprint in Scotland with our first digital sites in Northern Scotland, in Dundee, with further new sites to be added to our ever growing portfolio over the coming months. Beyond that, the deal firmly places 75Media within the top six OOH networks in the UK, and we don’t intend to stop there.”

Paul Inman, managing director at 75Media, added: “Given where the company started three years ago, we’ve worked hard to grow in a way that is sustainable, doesn’t compromise our levels of service, and drives significant value for our investors.

We welcome working with businesses directly as well as with agencies, and that is demonstrated by our mission to become the number one network for brands in the UK. For us, that means high quality sites, strong customer service, supporting clients with planning and measurement and generally making the case for OOH as a hugely effective advertising medium for brands of all types. Bringing iQ on board and strengthening the team in Scotland takes us one step further on that journey.”
