Morton Fraser MacRoberts has announced its first round of promotions since merging to create one of Scotland’s Big Four independent law firms.
The firm has announced 27 promotions across its five divisions – a record number that demonstrates its scale and breadth of expertise as a merged offering.
Later this year, Morton Fraser MacRoberts will also welcome its first cohort of MFMac trainees. During the summer, the firm will also welcome a number of work-experience students through PRIME, a UK-wide alliance of law firms seeking to improve social mobility within the legal profession.
Chris Harte, CEO of Morton Fraser MacRoberts, said: “Our people have continued to demonstrate exceptional expertise and dedication to client service over the last 12 months. This is reflected in the quality of our recent client appointments, and we are delighted to be able to recognise the contributions our colleagues make to the success of MFMac.
“As part of our ‘talent first’ strategy, we want to attract and retain the best talent, irrespective of background, and these promotions reflect our ongoing commitment to supporting our people to grow and develop their careers with us.”
The promotions include nine in Corporate & Commercial, six in Litigation, five in Real Estate, four in Private Client and three in Construction & Projects. They include the promotion of nine to Legal Director, seven to Senior Associate, four to Associate, five to Senior Solicitor, one to Senior Paralegal, and one to Paralegal from within Executive Services.
