Luxury kitchen specialist, Silver Birch Interiors (Silver Birch), is delighted to announce the
purchase of a new property located in Livingston, signalling a strategic move to the east of
Scotland for the ambitious Hamilton-headquartered business. The expansion is part of Silver
Birch’s wider plans to significantly scale, targeting over £5m of revenue within the next year
as it continues to transform lives through the creation of exceptional living spaces.
The property, which will undergo a six-figure refurbishment, is set to become a state-of-art
1500sqft showroom and office facility scheduled to open Spring / Summer of 2025. The new
location at the Livingston Designer Outlet, which is approximately 30 minutes from
Edinburgh, will help the business expand both in terms of growing the team with top industry
talent (an additional 3-6 employees will be recruited for the new location) and strengthening
key relationships with developers, architects and clients based in the east of Scotland.
The announcement comes at an exciting time for Silver Birch as last week the business was
named Scotland’s Best Kitchen Company for a record 5th time in 7 years (and also for a third
consecutive year) and scooped 1st prize for the prestigious ‘International Best Kitchen
Design’ at Nolte Küchen GmbH & Co. KG’s 2024 industry awards.
In addition, Alan Macgregor, the Founder and Managing Director of the business, formed
part of the latest cohort for The Hunter Foundation’s prestigious Scale Up Scotland as he
seeks to take the business to the next level of growth.
During the last 10 years, Alan has scaled the business to over 16 employees and increased
revenue year on year by approximately 35%. Silver Birch has progressed from working with
individual clients refurbing their own homes to securing contracts with a variety of developers
in size, notably forming a strong relationship with Cala Homes, one of Scotland’s largest
developers.
