The Scotland Real Estate team at gunnercooke has reported handling transactions worth over £250 million in capital deal value during 2024.
This figure comes amid growth for the team and its practice over the past three years.Partners Simon Etchells and Rachel Dunn lead the team, which also includes Senior Associate Ruscar Ullah and Associate Morven Badger Finlayson.
The team was established following gunnercooke’s expansion into Scotland with offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh in May 2021. Etchells, formerly of Dentons, initially joined with one associate and a PA.
Dunn, a long-time colleague, came on board as a partner in March 2022, completing the transition of the full team from Dentons.
The team operates across both Scottish and English law, with reportedly 55-65% of its real estate work executed under English law.
The team’s client roster now includes The Martin Property Group, Stonehage Fleming, Chint Solar UK Management, Laings (Jeweller) Glasgow and Evelyn Partners.
