TWO NEW Non-Executive Directors have been appointed to the Board of Scottish low carbon innovation company Innovatium. The addition of the industry heavy-weights will support the firm as it gathers pace on its ambitious growth and commercialisation journey.
Joining the Board are Derek Mathieson, who was previously a member of the executive team of US-based energy technology company Baker Hughes, and Giulio Contaldi who is the owner and CEO of leading compressed air technology firm Mattei Group.
Mr Mathieson and Mr Contaldi are both highly experienced industry players, each bringing a wealth of expertise in delivering growth for technology-led brands. The existing Board believes these key appointments will bring deep-domain expertise to the Innovatium business as well as seasoned commercial expertise and access to new networks, partners and potential customers.
Glasgow-based Innovatium develops technology solutions to meet the challenges of industrial decarbonisation, energy security and energy resilience. Its ‘game changing’ PRISMA Liquid Air Battery technology stores energy in liquid air form, providing clients with up to 30% in annual energy savings as well as hours of back-up energy storage.
