IN this, its 10th anniversary year, UK-based Perle Hotels has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise in recognition of the Scottish hotel group’s outstanding achievement in international trade. This is the second time in five years (previously in 2019) that this award has been bestowed upon the luxury Perle Hotels group. Previously known as the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, the accolade from His Majesty The King is considered the most prestigious of all awards for UK businesses. Recipients of The King’s Awards for Enterprise 2024 will appear in a special supplement of The Gazette on 6 May, while a reception for award winners will be held at Windsor Castle on 9 July, hosted by HM The King.
Perle Hotels, which has its headquarters in Edinburgh and hotels in the Highlands and Islands, has won the award for its outstanding short-term growth in overseas sales over the last three years. The company was established in 2014 with three boutique hotels on the Isle of Skye. Today, Perle Hotels has emerged as one of the leading Scottish independent hotel groups with five hotels. Four of them have been recently renovated while the fifth, a cabin concept that was acquired in 2023, is in the process of being extended.
During the last year, the hotels have welcomed guests from a remarkable 90 countries across all six continents, the largest markets being North America and Europe (excluding UK travellers).
