Entries are now open for the Heating Installer Awards 2026, as the competition returns to Scotland once again in its search for the best installers across the UK.
Returning for an 11th year, the awards invite top heating installers from all over the UK to put forward their best domestic project that demonstrates how they’ve solved a problem with technical know-how and expertise.
There are several categories for installers to enter, including one for each region of the UK, Best HVAC Installer, Best Renewables Installer and Rising Star, which celebrates the future of the industry.
In addition, homeowners can also nominate an installer who has impressed them with their work. The awards’ team will then contact the installer to obtain any missing details. No project is too big or small and often award-winning jobs are those where clever thinking was applied to solve a problem at hand.
In previous years, Scotland has seen some incredible winners, who have benefitted from widespread promotion of their business, gained new customers and made connections with some of the biggest industry brands.
Shaun Scott of Derek Scott Plumbing and Heating from Insch and Stuart Sugden from SugPlumb Ltd in Aboyne (both Aberdeenshire), Arran Donald of IMS Heatin Pumps in Perth, Daniel Gordon of DG Plumbing and Heating (in Inverness) are perfect examples of outstanding installers who have been recognised by the awards due to their customer service, excellent installations and commitment to providing the best products.
Winners of the Scotland award will not only receive promotion locally, but will have the opportunity to meet with industry professionals and network with influential businesses. After entries close in February 2026, a judging panel made up of industry experts, professional bodies, and trusted installers will choose the finalists. Entries submitted will be carefully reviewed and scored bythe judging panel that will mark the project against outstanding results, problem solving skills, knowledgeable product selection, excellent customer service, and technical expertise.
Regional winners will be announced in April 2026, before going into the running to be crowned the national Heating Installer Awards winner 2026 in June at Birmingham NEC. Along with a huge prize bundle from the sponsors, including a three-night stay at Danfoss’ HQ in Denmark as well as lots of product, winning installers are given access to training sessions, exclusive events, and support from fellow top installers.
Alongside the regional and national award, the awards also recognise specialist installers in several categories, including Renewables, HVAC, and Rising Stars (apprentices and those in learning).
Industry giants Danfoss, Powered Now, and Stelrad have already signed up to sponsor the awards in 2026, with the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering, InstallerSHOW and PR agency Refresh also pledging their support as partners. This ensures the awards are completely free to enter
