PUFFERFISH, the globally renowned and market-leading digital display business, has appointed an interim Chief Sales Officer to drive global sales and market expansion.

Chris Huggett has joined the Edinburgh-based company, bringing a wealth of experience from a 34-year career delivering strong growth for global technology and managed service providers.  He has led international teams of up to 700 across sales, marketing, product management and other functions, signing, growing, and retaining customers in enterprise, mid-market and SMB (small and midsize business) segments.

He has successfully targeted emerging markets, and launched innovative technologies to market, in various leadership roles in the UK, Germany, Netherlands and across EMEA with Cisco Systems, HP, Dell, 3Com, Sungard and Vodafone.

At Pufferfish, he will be responsible for expediting the company’s ambitious sales plans and maximising commercial opportunities.

Chris Huggett’s appointment is the latest in a series of senior appointments by Pufferfish this year as it seeks to capitalise on a rapidly growing global market for interactive, multi-sensory and immersive experiences.

Pufferfish’s product portfolio of interactive, innovative display technologies, including the recently launched PufferTouch3 and PufferSphere, continue to break new ground, appealing to a broad range of industries, including corporate communications, education, science and research, museums, visitor attractions and immersive art exhibitions.

The company, which boasts a prestigious client list including Microsoft, NASA, BBC, and IBM,announced an investment round in September to help fund a new phase of growth.

Chris Huggett said:

“Pufferfish has an impressive commitment to innovation and quality and I’m keen to be part of its journey.  My goal is to build on its global reputation and client satisfaction to secure a wider customer portfolio across new sectors and into new markets.”

Elaine Van Der Berg, CEO, said:

“Chris joins us on an interim basis to ensure our global sales strategy is robust and the company is well positioned to launch into new markets with new, innovative products.

“Our sales strategy to date has been relatively reactive, with repeat business and word-of-mouth underpinning our success.  This approach has secured our place as the market leader globally with a highly impressive client list.  But there’s more we can do to reach our full potential and take advantage of increasing demand.”
