BRIDGE to Business has launched the latest round of its popular programme to help more women in Scotland get started in business. Since its launch in 2021, #FemaleBoss has worked to inspire, empower and support female and non-binary individuals aged 18-45 years.

By highlighting the importance of gender equity in business, the Bridge 2 Business offering gives participants the opportunity to apply to access grant funding following the completion of eight weeks of interactive sessions, which include coaching and mentoring to bring their ideas to life.

Bridge 2 Business is a college programme delivered by Young Enterprise Scotland, a national charity that works with volunteers from the business community to deliver a future-proof programme of blended learning that is accessible to all. They work with young people in primary, secondary and tertiary education, providing a wide variety of programmes and development opportunities. They also work with budding entrepreneurs, nurturing business ideas and support young people to bring their ideas to life, whilst developing skills and achieving their goals.

Chief Executive of Young Enterprise Scotland Emma Soanes said:

“We are delighted that the #FemaleBoss initiative is back, bigger and better than before. We have widened access so that any budding female and non-binary entrepreneurs between 18-45 have the opportunity to hone their enterprise skills and access crucial funding opportunities to help kick-start their business. Young Enterprise Scotland is passionate about supporting the next generation of  start-ups, enabling them to put their thoughts and ideas into action.”

Applications for the #FemaleBoss initiative are open until 12th January at 12pm.

The workshops are hosted weekly every Thursday, commencing on the 25th January.
