Reach plc’s Scottish titles, including the the Daily Record, Glasgow Live, Sunday Mail, and the Scottish Daily Express, are set to embark on a new chapter as they relocate to modern office space in Glasgow’s city centre.

The move to 55 Douglas Street marks a strategic shift for the media company, emphasizing the benefits of consolidating its connected businesses under one roof. The new 14,298 sq ft workspace, secured on a 10-year lease, offers a prime location in Glasgow’s Central Business District.

This relocation brings together various print and digital mastheads, fostering increased collaboration and synergy among the different teams. By housing multiple titles in a single, high-quality office, the aim is to enhance communication, streamline operations, and promote cross-platform content creation. Normally such consolidation activities also yield significant savings, but no information on this has been released.

The Grade A office space at 55 Douglas Street boasts state-of-the-art amenities, including a fitness studio, ample cycle racks, and high-end shower facilities. These features not only cater to the wellbeing of staff but also align with modern workplace trends, potentially boosting employee satisfaction and productivity.

The relocation also reflects Reach plc’s commitment to adapting to changing market conditions while prioritizing quality workspace for its employees.

Reach plc is one of the largest newspaper and magazine publishers in the UK. The company owns national titles such as the Daily Mirror and Daily Express.
