THE NWH Group, one of the UK’s leading recycling companies, has appointed Andrew Baker as Chief Information Officer (“CIO”).

In this newly created role, Andrew will lead the operational finance team as well as overseeing IT and the management of all company projects and innovations.

Critically, Andrew will be spearheading a project that will ultimately result in the complete digitalisation of The NWH Group’s customer journey, to transform reporting and laying the foundations for a process that is completely paper-free to support the business, and its customers, on the journey to net zero. The aim is to deliver full visibility of orders, tracking, invoices, and all other transactional processes that might previously have been delivered offline, ensuring an easy, efficient, secure and environmentally-friendly solution.

Mark Williams, Chief Executive at The NWH Group said: “As a business, we are committed to maximising our assets. As part of this, Andrew will manage change and innovation within the business, including accountability for optimising two of our key assets, our data and our systems.

“This is a business-critical role as we continue to grow, evolve and innovate. As such, Andrew will be spending time with all parts of the business as the data strategy and change roadmap are developed.”

Andrew has already worked with the Group’s CTO to lead the complete integration of NWH’s two main operational platforms to ensure the smoothest customer journey, an efficient process throughout, and ease of communication.

Andrew Baker, Chief Information Officer, said: “This is an exceptionally exciting journey for us all The NWH Group. As we continue to innovate in the delivery of our services that support customers’ sustainability objectives, I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead, and in supporting the business to lead the market through customer-focused solutions for transforming waste.”
