Logistics provider DACHSER is acquiring Drummond Distribution, the Scottish company that has been its partner since 2008. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
Drummond, a family-owned business established in 1927, generated revenue of approximately £20 million in 2025 and has around 175 employees. It operates five locations across Scotland’s Central Belt, between Glasgow and Edinburgh, and has been connecting Scottish customers to DACHSER’s European Logistics network.
The acquisition includes approximately 46,500 square metres of warehouse space, along with a fleet of around 100 trucks and 80 trailers.
DACHSER currently has no locations in the region, so the deal will extend its network coverage without creating overlapping structures. The company said the acquisition strengthens its groupage network for industrial and consumer goods and will connect companies in Scotland more closely to European markets.
Drummond’s existing management team, led by Damon Burns, will continue to run the business. As the current owners gradually step back, the team will report to Mark Rollinson, managing director of DACHSER UK & Ireland.
