Livingston-based automated storage and materials-handling specialist Randex has partnered with Sales Geek Scotland as part of a strategic push to grow revenues from £6 million to £10 million.

The company, led by managing director James Roberts, has doubled in size over the past three years and is forecasting further growth in 2026, with revenues expected to surpass last year’s total.

As part of its next phase, Randex has enlisted Sales Geek Scotland to deliver a year-long development programme for its six-strong sales team, led by sales manager Derek Muir. The initiative will focus on strengthening sales processes, leadership capability and team performance.

Peter Barclay, director of Sales Geek Scotland, said the collaboration is designed to unlock the company’s growth potential. He noted that Randex already has a strong product offering and customer-focused culture, with the programme aimed at providing the structure and tools needed to scale further.

The partnership will include one-to-one sales development sessions, ongoing remote support, leadership cohort participation and access to Sales Geek’s Sales Club events across Scotland.

Randex serves a range of sectors including logistics, defence, engineering and life sciences, and has built long-standing client relationships since securing its first customer, Glenmorangie, in 2007.

Roberts said the business is confident of reaching its £10 million target with the right support in place, highlighting the role of structured sales development in achieving sustainable growth.

Alongside its sales investment, Randex is increasing its market presence by attending 10 major exhibitions this year, including events at the NEC and Farnborough. The company will showcase its Compact Twin vertical lift system, supported by a transportable demonstration unit.

The growth strategy also includes a recruitment drive, with plans to appoint a new service manager, a Midlands-based salesperson and two additional service technicians. Randex continues to prioritise in-house training to build technical expertise and industry knowledge.

Originally focused on document management, Randex has expanded into materials handling, software solutions and bespoke systems, working closely with Swedish manufacturer Weland Solutions to deliver tailored installations backed by dedicated after-sales support.
