Jones Whyte announced a series of key internal promotions, highlighting the firm’s clear commitment to and investment in career development.

As part of an expansion in the firm’s leadership structure, Ian McNaull has been appointed Managing Director, where he will oversee Jones Whyte’s strategic direction, operations, and firm-wide leadership.

Included in the promotions, are three new partners. In his fourth year at Jones Whyte, Marc Onorati becomes a Partner in the firm’s Dispute Resolution department.

Dominic Ritchie also becomes a Partner, having successfully spearheaded the launch of Jones Whyte’s Group Actions department. One of the firm’s longest serving solicitors, Nicola Waters, has been promoted to Partner in the firm’s Personal Injury department where she leads the serious and fatal injury team.

Additionally, Kirsty MacPherson has been appointed Finance and Operations Director, where she will guide the senior team in achieving strategic goals and ensuring the firm’s financial targets are met.

Five Senior Solicitors have been promoted to Associate: Michael Jeffries, Amy Kelly, Matthew McCabe, Ronan Platt, and Chloe Sneddon, each of whom leads a growing specialist personal injury team. Nikki Bonini, Nicole Brodie, Anna Davidson, and Katie Morgan have advanced to Senior Solicitor roles, while Gemma Ball and Karyn McAlpine have been promoted to Senior Paralegal positions.

This round of promotions follows a double win at The Herald Top Employer Awards 2024, where Jones Whyte was recognised as Top Employer of the Year – Small Business and received the Employee Career Development Award.

Both the recent promotions and awards are clear evidence of the success of one of Jones Whyte’s strategic objectives, to deliver an industry-leading employee experience; developing personal capability, creating career pathways and creating an empowered working environment.
