iomart Group plc (AIM: IOM), a secure cloud services provider, announces the acquisition of Atech Cloud, a highly accredited Microsoft Solutions Partner.

The acquisition of Atech reinforces iomart’s strategy to expand its capabilities in high-growth cloud computing areas, such as modern workplace solutions, public cloud Azure infrastructure, and security-managed services. With Atech’s extensive Microsoft credentials, including the Azure Expert MSP accreditation, the combined group will offer a broader and deeper range of services to support customer needs.

Strategic Highlights:

  • Enhanced cloud service offerings across Microsoft platforms for mid-market customers.
  • Access to new cross-sell opportunities within iomart’s existing customer base, driving accelerated growth for both businesses.
  • Addition of offshore support capabilities, improving operational efficiency.
  • Strengthened senior leadership with Atech CEO Ryan Langley joining iomart as Group CTO.
  • The transaction is expected to drive growth and margin improvements by leveraging iomart’s sales team and additional technical capabilities acquired through previous acquisitions like Extrinsica Global.

Lucy Dimes, CEO of iomart, commented:

“This is a game changing acquisition for iomart. Joining forces with Atech marks a significant milestone in our strategy to be ‘Bigger, Better, Bolder’, and accelerates both businesses’ shared mission to be at the forefront of leading-edge secure cloud services.”

Ryan Langley, CEO of Atech, added:

“Both businesses share the same ambition, to be at the forefront of bringing the most in demand secure cloud offerings to our customers, enabling them to modernise their systems, harness the power of Microsoft AI capabilities, drive operational and process efficiencies, all with a secure by design approach”.

This acquisition is classified as a Substantial Transaction under AIM Rule 12.
