LEADING innovation incentives adviser, ForrestBrown, has moved to new office space on Bothwell Street in Glasgow to accommodate its growing team.

ForrestBrown has been helping Scottish companies secure R&D tax relief to reward their investment in innovation for several years, and the move to a larger office strengthens its capacity to provide specialist, local expertise. Alongside R&D tax relief, ForrestBrown also provides support on Patent Box relief, capital allowances and a range of government grants, helping to identify and access further funding opportunities.

Recent research by ForrestBrown highlighted Scotland’s strengths as a location for innovation. But although Scotland leads the way in cutting edge innovative sectors such as engineering and renewable energy,  HMRC R&D tax credit statistics indicate that fewer Scottish businesses are claiming R&D tax relief compared to the UK as a whole.

ForrestBrown’s growing presence in Scotland can help address this shortfall, ensuring eligible businesses are able to navigate changes to R&D tax policy to secure the reward their investment in innovation deserves.

With continued growth forecast, ForrestBrown is actively seeking the best talent for its team in Scotland, creating further job opportunities at its Glasgow office throughout 2023.

Stephen Leishman, Business Development Lead for Scotland and the North of England at ForrestBrown, comments:

“Our team in Glasgow is growing fast which reflects the sheer scale and range of innovation taking place in the city and across the wider Scottish economy. We are passionate about the transformative power of R&D tax relief and bringing the benefits of this incentive to even more Scottish businesses is an exciting prospect.”
