NORTH-EAST Scotland Entrepreneurs Sarah Downs and Dr Yekemi Otaru, Founders of multi-award winning Sales Enablement Consultancy, Doqaru have been awarded with yet another accolade, Service Industries Entrepreneur of the Year for Scotland at The Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

Recognised annually as one of the most prestigious awards in the entrepreneurial world, this year received over 5,000 applications alone. Making the shortlist is an achievement in its own right given the calibre of competition, underlining the significance of Doqaru’s win.

The judges commented: “Doqaru’s Strategic use of data to integrate sales and marketing efforts led to truly impressive growth. The judges found Doqaru’s story to be a compelling narrative of entrepreneurship and collaboration.”

Francesca James, founder of The Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards, said:

“I am thrilled to witness the extraordinary achievements of this year’s winners. Their success stories are a testament to the dynamic and innovative spirit that thrives within UK entrepreneurship. These inspiring entrepreneurs embody the creativity, determination, and passion that are at the heart of our nation’s business success.”

This is the second year that Doqaru has returned from the Great British Entrepreneur Awards to the Granite City with an award in tow, last year taking home the Small Entrepreneur of the Year award. Director Sarah Downs attended the awards and said: “It’s fantastic recognition for our team to bring home the Service Industries Entrepreneur of the Year Award this year. We had a great night celebrating in London with other entrepreneurs from across the UK.
