MULTI-award-winning torque specialist EnerQuip has announced a 25% year-on-year increase in work won during the first quarter of the year.

In the first three months of 2023, the Aberdeenshire-based company secured $6.2 million of contracts including a raft of projects in hitherto untapped regions such as Germany and Ivory Coast as well as excellent levels of work in traditional areas.  These include three units for three clients in Norway, EnerQuip’s largest ever unit for a customer in Singapore with a 30” clamp range capability, and a two-unit deal for a TRS (Tubular Running Service) client in Abu Dhabi worth more than $1 million.

The exceptionally busy start to this year continues an uptick in business which saw deals valued at almost $10 million secured in the fourth quarter of 2022.

This year’s successes to date have already brought the volume of capital equipment work won to 50% of the total for the whole of last year, sparking an accelerated recruitment drive which has already added eleven new personnel to the team in the first quarter of the year.  Among the new starts are an operations co-ordinator in Houston and the imminent arrival of a new salesperson who will be based at EnerQuip’s global headquarters near Aberdeen.

To add to EnerQuip’s success in 2023 so far, the company was recently announced as runner up at the prestigious IADC North Sea chapter awards for advancing safety through their market leading Mobile Torque Unit (MTU), which has seen significant uptake in the Middle East.

Global Sales & Business Development Manager Darren Bragg said: “Our innovative Mobile Torque Unit (MTU) continues to form the centrepiece of our growing portfolio and when technology of this calibre is backed by the quality of people we have on our growing team, the result speaks for itself.  We knew the data proved its value on efficiency alone, with as much as 54% time-savings to be recognised, but to have the equipment recognised for its safety enhancements as well, truly proves the value that our equipment adds to performance and safety.”

Commenting on the busy start to 2023, EnerQuip Managing Director Andrew Robins added: “By working hard to balance our attention between traditional and emerging markets, we have been able to maximise our growth in key locations.  This, coupled with a drive on fulfilling pent-up demand for equipment post-pandemic, has enabled our business to flourish.”

Launched in Aberdeen in June 2015, EnerQuip is a leading specialist in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of market leading torque machines and associated products, including bucking units and fully rotational makeup and breakout torque machines which can be adapted to suit any application.  The highly skilled team delivers 24/7, 365 support and works with a growing client base in an increasing list of locations that includes Africa, North and South America, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
