OEG Energy Group Limited (“OEG”, the “Group”), a leading offshore solutions business, is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of Offshore Painting Services Limited (“OPS Wind”), a leading provider of specialist operations & maintenance (O&M) and training services to the offshore wind sector. OPS Wind has its head office in Liverpool with a regional ofiice in Llandudno, North Wales.
OPS Wind will join the Group’s Renewables division, OEG Renewables, and sit within its topside service line, further posi oning OEG Renewables as a leader in the provision of specialist O&M services and building upon the existing strong industry relationships of both companies. The acquisition will enhance the ability to offer integrated service solutions which are attractive for offshore wind developers and OEMs that want to increase project efficiencies and lower interface risk with contractors.
OPS Wind has established itself as a leading provider of topside asset integrity services which help to improve operational efficiency, safety, and asset protecion for offshore wind farm infrastructure. The company provides composite protective solutions, has around 100 highly skilled service & maintenance technicians and operates a bespoke training facility (OPS Training). The OPS Training centre located in Liverpool provides personnel with the skills and knowledge required to safely and successfully work in the renewable energy sector.
