DM Hall, one of Scotland’s leading independent firms of Chartered Surveyors, has recently made two senior strategic appointments to help underpin the services it provides.

Stephanie Stewart has been appointed Marketing Manager and Martin Watt becomes its new Compliance and Support Manager.

With over sixteen years of marketing experience, Stephanie, who will be based in DM Hall’s Glasgow Hillington office, brings energy and strategic insight to her role, specialising in marketing communications, events and project management. An honours graduate in Marketing and Events, she has worked with a range of businesses in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London and New York. She replaces Caroline Wayte who is leaving the firm after five years’ service.

Martin, who will be based at DM Hall’s Head Office in Corstorphine Road, Edinburgh, comes with a wealth of experience in the compliance and management sector, having worked with several financial institutions over many years. He replaces Stewart Ritchie who has served in the role for nine years and is now set to retire.

DM Hall Managing Partner, John McHugh, said: “We warmly welcome both Stephanie and Martin to their new roles with DM Hall. Stephanie will focus on continuing to maintain and improve the firm’s profile whilst driving meaningful engagement across our diverse client base. In his role, Martin will assist colleagues across a range of issues including internal and external audits, wider compliance to meet all necessary standards and Health and Safety matters.

“Both come to us with highly impressive track records and we believe they will be tremendous assets in helping fulfil DM Hall’s future growth plans.

“At the same time, I would like to put on record the tremendous contribution to the firm’s success over the years of Caroline and Stewart. Caroline has done sterling work in maintaining DM Hall’s market-leading position throughout the UK, and we wish her the best of fortune as she moves on to a new chapter in her career.

“In his capacity as Compliance and Support Manager, Stewart has helped and supported numerous DM Hall staff, offices and departments throughout his time with the firm. As he steps into retirement, we are grateful for his legacy and we pay warm tribute to his service.”
