BRAWDIA, the specialist building and project consultancy, has continued its growth with the opening of a new office in Edinburgh, Scotland. Alongside an additional new office in Birmingham, England, the move will expand Brawdia’s UK footprint to five locations, offering clients comprehensive coverage across Great Britain. The Edinburgh opening represents its first office in Scotland.
The office openings follow the appointment of four senior team members:
- Iain Pepler has joined as a Director to head up Brawdia’s new Edinburgh office (Exchange Place 2, 5 Semple Street, Edinburgh, EH3 8BL) and will take the lead on building its Scottish operation. Iain is a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 20 years’ experience. He has undertaken the full range of project and professional building surveying instructions throughout Scotland, including dilapidations, project monitoring, contract administration, defect analysis and reinstatement cost assessments. Having previously worked with the likes of Gerald Eve LLP, Watts Group Limited, Capita and Atkins, he is well known in the Scottish market and has a track record of building and leading teams.
- Leanne Field has joined as an Associate t in Brawdia’s new Birmingham office (2 Snow Hill, Queensway, Birmingham, B4 6GA). She is a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 6 years’ experience providing a range of professional building surveying services and consultancy advice in the commercial, retail and industrial sectors. Leanne joined from JLL where she gained extensive experience across a broad spectrum of professional services with a focus on contract administration, dilapidations and reinstatement cost assessments.
- Martin McGowan and Richard Busby have both joined Brawdia’s North of England team. Martin has joined the Manchester office as an Associate Director with 13 years’ experience across a range of project and professional building surveying instructions. He is a Chartered Building Surveyor with expertise across dilapidations, project monitoring, contract administration, defect analysis and reinstatement cost assessments. Richard, based in the North East, is a Chartered Building Engineer with a varied career comprising 10 years practical experience as a bricklayer/stonemason, and 25 years professional experience in the industry working for Cunningham Lindsey (now Sedgwick) and Balfour Beatty Management. Richard specialises in insurance related subsidence claims, fire/flood reinstatement works, and defects diagnosis assessments.
Since its launch in 2021, Brawdia has built a 17-strong team of specialist surveyors working across insurance, commercial and local authority clients. The consultancy has developed specialist services across building surveying and project management, with growth areas including resilience and sustainability, and reinstatement cost assessments..
