BookSource welcomes new Business Development and Marketing Manager

Clare Barron, Business Development and Marketing Manager at BookSource

BOOKSOURCE, the Glasgow based book distributor has announced that Clare Barron has joined as Business Development and Marketing Manager.

BookSource is one of the UK’s fastest-growing distributors of books and other printed material. It provides a comprehensive service for over 90 client publishers, from warehousing and distribution services to tele-ordering and electronic data interchange (EDI).

Clare joins BookSource with over 18 years’ marketing and business development experience in the publishing industry, her most recent position with Livingston based maritime publisher, Witherbys.

Managing Director Davinder Bedi commented: “Clare will have three main focuses within the business. She will lead our efforts in securing new business, become responsible for telling the BookSource story and enhancing our brand reputation, and also to help us better understand our online retailer partners so that together we can sell more books.  I have no doubt that she is a perfect fit for the team.  Coming from an independent publisher background, her skills and experience make her the right person to help us utilise and enhance the exciting plans we have for the future, and her appointment signals further commitment to our key strategic objective, to help publishers do business.”

Clare commented: “I am very pleased to join BookSource at such an exciting time. The company is at the heart of Independent Publishing.  I’m impressed with the team’s expertise and passion and I am looking forward to building on BookSource’s reputation and to further support our clients.”
