BDO has promoted Todd Mills to director in its deals team in Scotland, having joined the firm as a trainee in 2011.

His promotion comes on the back of busy start to 2025, with BDO having completed a trio of transactions since the turn of the year. This includes the sale of Denovo, a legal practice management solution provider, to Australian head-quartered Leap Legal Software, the completion of a Series A fundraise for a transport software provider, as well as the sale of an insurance brokerage to a national consolidator.

Todd will work closely with Craig Goold, who leads the M&A practice in Scotland, to help expand the team and support ambitious business owners and investors driving growth across the Scottish economy.

Craig Goold, Head of M&A in Scotland at BDO said: “On the back of an active six months and a healthy pipeline for 2025, it’s brilliant to be announcing Todd’s well-deserved promotion in recognition of his contribution to the BDO team and our clients’ businesses. Todd has built an exceptional track record for deal-making and demonstrated deep sector expertise in his work around sustainability, energy efficiency and recycling, and we look forward to seeing what he achieves next.

“The range of transactions we’ve completed in the past six months despite the challenging economic environment is testament to the quality of our people and our continued commitment to the local market.”

Todd Mills, director at BDO adds: “It’s fantastic to be working with Craig and the team to grow our capabilities and reach in the Scottish market. Having been at BDO for more than a decade, I’m delighted to be progressing within a culture that empowers teams to help our clients succeed.”
