25/03/2024

ABERDEEN’S country house in the city, Norwood Hall Hotel, has celebrated wins at two separate awards events to further underline its reputation as a wedding provider of choice.

The four-star hotel clinched Wedding Venue of the Year at the Top Tier Awards after seeing off fierce competition from north-east rivals at the gala dinner held in Aberdeen.

Since then, the Norwood team successfully defended the Scottish Wedding Awards trophy they won in 2023 after receiving the Local Wedding Exhibition of the Year honour for its popular annual wedding fayre.

The black-tie ceremony, held in Glasgow, also saw Norwood Hall shortlisted for Wedding Venue of the Year (North), as the sole Aberdeen-based representative, while the hotel’s weddings and special events manager, Aimee Nekrews, was a finalist in the Wedding Co-ordinator of the Year category.

Aimee Nekrews said: “We’re thrilled to have won Local Wedding Exhibition of the Year for the second year running, especially coming off the back of our success at the Top Tier Awards.

“We’re extremely grateful to everyone who voted for us. Our entire team takes enormous pride in delivering the best possible experience to our fantastic brides and grooms who choose to spend their big day with us, so this recognition is always very much appreciated.
