Luxe Scot supports event celebrating excellence and new ‘Best Team’ category.
Entries are now open across a range of categories for the 14th Scottish Golf Tourism Awards, scheduled to take place at the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa in St Andrews on Thursday 11 March 2027.
The awards aim to bring together businesses, venues, teams, and individuals from across Scotland’s golf tourism sector to celebrate excellence within the industry. The Old Course Hotel, overlooking the iconic Old Course, provides a fitting backdrop for the national celebration.
Luxury travel provider Luxe Scot is once again supporting the awards, which recognise the collective contribution made by championship courses, hotels, tourism operators, visitor attractions, and behind-the-scenes teams in maintaining Scotland’s status as a leading golf travel destination.
Entrants have the opportunity to highlight achievements, innovation, and customer experience, with finalists benefiting from additional profile across the sector. Winners will receive an industry accolade, acknowledging their contribution to Scotland’s golf tourism offering.
Golf tourism continues to be an important part of Scotland’s visitor economy, attracting players globally to its courses, accommodation, and wider visitor experiences.
For 2027, a new category, Best Team in Golf Tourism, has been introduced to recognise a team that has made an outstanding contribution to the visitor experience over the past year. Organisers have also implemented a more streamlined entry process to facilitate quicker and easier applications for participating businesses.
The 2027 categories encompass Best Hotel awards (3 Star, 4 Star, 5 Star, or Equivalent, and Best Exclusive Use or Self-Catering Venue). Golf course categories include Best Municipal or Community Owned Golf Course, sponsored by bunkered, Best 9-Hole Course, Best Course Under £100, Best Course £100–£200, and Best Course £200 and Over, sponsored by Luxe Scot.
Further categories feature Best Clubhouse, Best Pro Shop, Best Golf Marketing / Social Media Campaign, Best Sustainability Project, Best Off The Course Experience, the newly introduced Best Team in Golf Tourism, and Best Tour Operator, which will open for entries soon.
