HF, leading legal advisers in the insurance and commercial sectors, has taken on two new Partners based in Glasgow.

James McMillan has in-depth expertise focused on commercial litigation, commercial law, white-collar crime, and regulatory investigations and prosecutions.  James also advises on specialist legal issues related to the ownership and use of rural property (including wildlife crime and firearms licensing).

Seonaid Busby has a wealth of experience across a wide spectrum of liability claims including catastrophic injuries arising from road traffic, public and employers’ liability as well as the resultant regulatory prosecutions.  Seonaid will also complement HF’s marine practice with her expertise in specialist shipping injury claims.

Ronan McCann, CEO and Managing Partner at HF, commented: “James’ appointment strengthens our commercial litigation and criminal defence capability in these growing areas of our business, and Seonaid’s arrival is hugely welcome with her specialist skills in injury and regulatory matters as well as her marine expertise with Stefanie Johnston’s marine team going from strength to strength following the extraordinary market response since its inception last year.”
